A Floral Fridge Magnet

Hello friends,

Here is the second keepsake for the day again made from the wooden MDF Frame.

I finally have used  the Prima Lyric papers stashed for a long time. For the rose cluster i have used my brand new CL Gardenia and Leaf Strip Dies. I have also made rosebuds from the gardenia die, the green calyx underneath is from the CL medium rose die,  rose making has become so easy -thanks to this die. The frame has been distressed with Dried Marigold , since it goes so well with the Prima Lyric colours. For the red rose i have moistened a red handmade paper with the Ruby red Mist , it makes the bloom looks so vibrant and afresh . All the flowers have been sprinkled with the chunky Crystal Dust Transparent glitter , doesn't it look just like dew drops ?
Here is a closer look at the blooms with the crystal glitter -

A Forever Card

Hello everyone,

This is my inspirational card for the DCAM Challenge No 2 where the ongoing theme is "Shabby is Chic"
Here is how it looks-

I started the card with the black linen textured card stock from Die Cuts & More , i think it gives a very sturdy base to a project. Lots of intricate dies from Memory Box and Cheery Lynn have gone into this card !The delicate swirls and the gorgeous heart are all Memory Box dies , Die Cuts & More has an amazing and a huge collection of these beauties . And yes best of all the Cheery Lynn Sweet Williams strip,it a must add die if you love making handmade flowers .

Here's a closeup-

I wanted to use this antique watch which i fussy cut from the Prima Engraver Papers , apart from giving a vintage touch it also adds as an embellishment. The background on which the sentiment pieces have been stamped have been distressed with Frayed Burlap, Antique linen and some gesso. And finally i have added the CL Medium Exotic Butterfly to finish the card.

The blooms have been colored with Spun Sugar distress marker with the white center pollen from Die Cuts and More .

Thats it from me ! Hope you like my card, would love to hear from you, Thanks for stopping by , Have a great day ahead

An Altered Frame

Hello friends,

Today i am sharing an Altered Frame as an inspiration for the current Challenge No 2 # Shabby is Chic at DCAM Challenges. Here is how it looks -

For the base i started with a frame from an old forgotten wedding invitation lying in my stash .I painted it with gesso mixed with the soon to be launched Crushed Strawberry Mist from Die Cuts & More for that shabby look. I had fun layering the images from the gorgeous Fairy Rhyme papers .Aren't these papers just adorable ?

When i cut them i decided to include the ballerina and the Bird cage with the flourishes around them. It did take some effort and careful fussy cutting but the effort was totally worth it ! Got to say the images on paper look just as beautiful as in pieces !

Here's a closeup on the big chrysanthemum bloom which is made from the Memory Box Lovely asters die,it gives a set of 3 layered flowers and leaves in one go ,with amazingly delicate petals ! The Bloom has been coloured with Lindy's Autumn Magicals 'Autumn Maple Crimson ' -The tiny flourishes are from the Cheery Lynn fanciful flourish coloured with Peeled Paint distress ink .

Added the silver diamante in the center for a lovely accent .The shaded small lavender roses are from the MFT Royal Rose die coloured with Spun Sugar distress ink .Instead of just rolling them tightly , i have scrunched and loosely rolled them for the shabby look . The Mulberry roses and the other embellies are from my stash .I have placed the Chrysanthemum on a a lacy rosette and have added some white netting for detail.

Thanks for Passing by ,Would love to hear from you !
Have a lovely day ahead !
