A Floral Tag

Hi,

This has been a great month for me , absolutely happy to share that my 2 projects made it as winners in 2 challenges, really helps me to get my MOJO back !!!
Here's my latest inspiration for the ongoing DCAM Challenge No 1# ' Anything Goes with a Handmade Flower '-

I just love the look of these vibrant mists on the background .To create this background , first i randomly misted a transparency with True Turquoise and Emerald Green mists , followed by some water drops to help the colours lighten. Once done I lightly pressed the tag on it. Than using the Tim Holtz water brush I simply coloured the white areas with diluted Amethyst purple mist .After heat setting it i stamped some areas with the Kaisercraft script stamp in black versafine ink.

Now here's a closer look -

The center bloom made with the Cheery Lynn Sweet williams die has been misted with Amethyst Purple mist. Just by adding water you can lighten or deepen the colour of the mist to achive the desired shade. I have added fussy cut elements like the black leaves and the flower from the gorgeous Prima Engraver papers . Also notice the bottom MS Wildflower border which has been misted with a light Turquoise Blue mist .

Working with the Mist-eries is Messy, but there is so much fun and the possibilities are endless :) I absolutely adore the vibrancy of the colours !
Thats it from me , and hope you like my Tag , Would love to hear your comments ! Happy Crafting

Sweet Williams Card

Hello friends ,

Here's a pink creation from me after a long time , its blooms and butterflies again , these are inspired by the blooms from my garden .

Firstly i must admit that i am totally hooked on to the CL sweet williams die, i have used it in almost all my posts for this month.

Here 's is how my card looks -

For the center frame i have covered it with a coat of gesso mixed with raspberry ink and than heat embossed it with Lindy's hibiscus rose embossing powder . I have added the lovely fairytale door charm and the gorgeous sheer ribbon to complete the card.

Here's a closeup of the flowers -

For the flowers i have tried to add depth by using mists, gesso and LSG magicals too !
I have used a mix of ruby red , citrine orange and topaz yellow from the Misteries and covered them with studio gesso and especially painted the edges with a brush ! And finally added pollens from my stash ! Phew creating this flowers has really been a hectic task , nevertheless i am extremely satisfies with the way they have turned out , Hope you like them too!

Thanks for dropping my and I would love to hear from you , Have a great day ahead !

A Gorjuss Card

Hi friends,

I am back with another inspiration for the DCAM challenges where the current theme is ' Anything goes with a Handmade flower '. Here's how the card looks -
Since i wanted to use the colour combo of Brown , Turquoise and neutrals i choose the Prima Lifetime papers ,simply adore this collection .

Here's a closeup of the gal -

Aren't these Gorjuss dolls just very different i mean cute yet with lots of attitude? I have used the stamp called' I Found My Family in a Book 'here.

As you can see the layout is pretty simple ,since i was totally into colouring this gorjuss gal, yes i had fun colouring her up for sure !
The hair and the skin has been done with some yummy alcohol markers and prisma pencils .

Now a closer look at the flowers-

I wanted the base layer of the flowers to look ruffled and very white so for that i have used thin white cupcake liner papers:) The rest of the embellies are from my stash .

So how do you like my card ?

I would love to hear from you ,so do drop me a line :) Thanks for passing by , Have a wonderful week ahead !

Yet another Tag with textures

Hi friends

This is first time that i am writing a 2nd post on the same day, here is my Tag .

I didn't have the corrugated paper so i ripped a layer from a pizza box cover , misted it with the True Turquoise Mist and painted gesso strokes randomly , covered it with some white cheesecloth and my textured background was ready.

The handmade Cheery Lynn Sweet William blooms have been water brushed with some Adirondack cranberry ink and the yellow ones with Distress Mustard ink . The gorgeous embossed MB Palace Oval Frame die is from die cuts and more

A Tag with Textures

Hello everyone,

Here's sharing a Tag with handmade blooms from one of my favourite floral dies, this also is my inspiration for DCAM Challenges where our current challenge is Anything goes with a Handmade Flower .

The tutorial for the bloom can be found http://dcamchallenge.blogspot.in/2013/08/sweet-williams-flower-tutorial.html

I have used the vibrant fruity Citrine Orange mist from Die Cuts and More for the flowers .
Additionally i have tried incorporating different textures like the jute mesh ,the thin brown layers and a spread of gesso with distress inks on top.
The lovely sentiment is cut from Prima Lifetime papers and the wooden heart is from the Ribbon Girl Shop.
Hope you like it !
